The Big Snowfall

I am going to have to post on some of our recent happenings that you may have missed out on before the blog.

If you aren't from Texas you may not realize that snow is a BIG deal in Texas. One snowflake on the windshield and school is shut down, the highways are salted, and we don't leave our house. If you are from New England you are probably rolling your eyes. Before you judge us just realize that we aren't wimps. Snow is just a great excuse to not go to work or school. All that to say, here's our little bundle on the snowiest day we have ever seen in North Texas!

Since we don't have sleds in Texas, a laundry basket did the trick.

He looked out this window all day long.

Yes, I know there is a halo over my head. Isn't there always?

The lovely snowman we built. In hindsight I wish we had built a big one but the little man was soaking wet.

First Post

Thanks for visiting my blog! For years I've told friends that no, I didn't want to start a blog because what would I ever blog about. Well...I do have something to blog about. I have a sweet baby boy that I love to show off, I have family and friends to be grateful for, and I serve a big God who is always at work in my life and in the lives of those around me. So, here I am, giving this blogging world a try.

I'm not promising anything too deep, great writing worthy of publishing, or even correct grammar. But, I will post pictures of our life here in Texas so you can see what's happening with us.

I'll post again soon so please check back!

Hugs,
Elyse
